Rubik AV
Complete the Room
Rubik AV is a purpose-built evolution of the Rubik acoustic wall system, designed to integrate displays, conferencing technology, and AV equipment within commercial interiors. Built on the proven Rubik platform, it combines acoustic performance, design flexibility, and integrated cable management in a single modular solution.
As meeting spaces increasingly rely on digital displays and connected technologies, the wall surface plays an important role in both functionality and design. Rubik AV provides a clean, organized approach to supporting these requirements while maintaining acoustic performance.
Retaining the flexibility of the original Rubik system, Rubik AV can be configured for boardrooms, training rooms, collaboration spaces, and other technology-driven environments. Its modular design allows spaces to adapt while maintaining a cohesive architectural appearance.

Rubik AV FAQs
What is EzoBord Rubik AV, and why is it designed for commercial meeting spaces and AV integrators?
EzoBord Rubik AV is a purpose-built evolution of the Rubik acoustic wall system engineered to integrate displays, conferencing technology, and cable management into commercial interiors. Combining high-performance sound absorption (NRC 0.85) with modular design flexibility, EzoBord Rubik AV provides a clean architectural finish for boardrooms and training rooms. For AV integrators, offering EzoBord Rubik AV provides a practical way to address the room’s total acoustic environment rather than solely mounting hardware. Integrators and designers can access specification documentation through the EzoBord portal.
Can AV displays, speakers, or hardware be mounted directly onto EzoBord Rubik AV tiles?
No, EzoBord Rubik AV tiles are acoustic and finish components and must never be treated as the structural mounting surface for hardware. All digital displays, speakers, and heavy conferencing equipment must be mechanically secured directly to the underlying wall structure or dedicated support backing. Flat acoustic tiles can be precision-cut on-site around mounting brackets and equipment without compromising the surrounding tile grid. Technical installation drawings and frame specifications can be requested via EzoBord project support.
How does EzoBord Rubik AV handle cable routing and hardware integration behind the tiles?
EzoBord Rubik AV manages wiring through a 41mm cable space behind the frame, utilizing flat tiles with partial-cut side slots and precision openings for discreet cable pass-through. Power, HDMI, and audio cables route behind the surface without interfering with tile placement or visual composition. Additionally, an optional Cable Manager accessory organizes excess wiring directly beneath the tiles. Contractors can download detailed cable layout diagrams from EzoBord.
How is EzoBord Rubik AV installed, and how long does the installation take?
EzoBord Rubik AV installs by mounting a 12mm perimeter frame structure to drywall using drywall screws or construction adhesive, followed by tool-free friction pressure-fit tile assembly. For a standard 3×4 tile Rubik AV Wall Kit (78 3/4″ W x 59″ H), installation typically requires approximately 60 to 120 minutes depending on site conditions. This standardized grid structure simplifies installation for field crews. Detailed installation guides are available via the EzoBord documentation portal.
What is the sound absorption performance and NRC rating of EzoBord Rubik AV?
EzoBord Rubik AV achieves a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) rating of 0.85, delivering top-performing sound absorption for commercial spaces. By pairing 100% PET acoustic material with an integrated air gap and 41mm cable depth, EzoBord Rubik AV minimizes room reverberation time (RT60). For instance, installing two Wall Kits in a medium room (12′ x 16′) reduces RT60 to 0.7 seconds, while adding a Wall Extension Kit lowers RT60 to 0.6 seconds. Acoustic calculators can be accessed on the EzoBord website.
